Dr. Markus Ebert
Dr. Markus Ebert advises companies, board members, managing directors and executives as well as works councils in all areas of employment law.
Markus Ebert studied law in Munich and Salzburg. In 2003, he joined Linklaters as a lawyer in the employment law department, where he also worked during his legal clerkship. During his professional career at Linklaters, he successfully completed postgraduate studies in European and International Business Law (LL.M. Eur.), qualified as a specialist lawyer in employment law, and obtained his doctorate in employment law under Prof. Dr. Coester at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He gained international experience during his studies at Loxleys Solicitors (London, UK), then during his legal clerkship at the major law firms Linklaters (Employment), London, England and Clayton Utz (Employment), Sydney, Australia, and again after starting his career at Linklaters in London (Pensions and Employee Incentives).
In 2008, he moved to the corporate side of GlaxoSmithKline, a major international corporation, where he was Senior Legal Counsel in the legal department in Munich, responsible for the Vaccines division in all legal matters arising there (in particular pharmaceutical law, competition law, public procurement law, and antitrust law), as well as the employment law department company-wide.
In 2013, he returned to the legal profession and joined Keller Menz, a law firm specializing in employment law, as a partner, where he subsequently worked for more than 10 years.
